www.bonjovi-archives.com

I started bonjovi-archives.com back in 2001, though those files are long gone. They were first attempts at creating a complete discography due to me finding out Bon Jovi had released many different singles over the years. The first year the site went online was in 2003 though. Another fan had helped me setting up the site and getting a layout that would be sufficient enough. Although I'd followed courses for Dreamweaver (a program you use to build websites) my skills were very limited. It was only after a few years, in 2005, that I'd learned how to use stylesheets (the files that define what color a text has). But with me having put so much time in an outdated website I didn't feel much for a complete overhaul, so this version stayed online from pretty much 2003-2008.

I started working on an updated version in 2008. Over the years I'd found out that several things were incorrect. If a certain band is your hobby, you will learn more over time if you're really interested, so I started to gather new information on single formats, and setlist analyses. Due to the These Days album being most popular among most online fans I realized a new layout which seemed good enough for what I had in mind. Once the These Days era was finished, I started working on The Circle, an album released at 2009, so I would be able to update along the way as the following world tour would progress.

After I graduated I started working fulltime, so had limited time for the site. While working I kept thinking on how to improve the site. Many people had commented on how valuable it was, but I felt it was lacking. The goal is that in order to get information on anything related to Bon Jovi, you shouldn't need to leave the website. I decided to take the website down in 2012. Too many parts weren't working or incorrect, and in fact only 2 albums were complete. Many people were disappointed and although at first I didn't intend to put it back online, but once I started creating another site I found out my skills had grown a lot. I started following tutorials again to be able to include new techniques for the inclusion of images. I decided to give bonjovi-archives.com another try, and created era III, which went online in late 2012.
